Student Control Without Over-Control
Strong control gives students freedom inside a safe structure.
Student control is not about holding people tightly. It is about designing a structure where students can practice while the instructor can still prevent problems early.
Positioning matters. So does spacing, assistant use, signal clarity and the timing of intervention.
Candidates often improve when they learn to move less and observe more. Control comes from anticipation, not constant correction.
That balance creates students who feel supported rather than managed.
